Below is a brief look at the requirements to obtain a real estate license in the states of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

In order to obtain a license to sell real estate in the state of Ohio, the following requirements must be met:
› Be 18 years of age
› Have a high school diploma if you were born after 1950
› Complete the following courses:
• Real Estate Principles & Practices (40 Hours)
• Real Estate Law (40 Hours)
• Real Estate Finance (20 Hours)
• Real Estate Appraisal (20 Hours)
› Obtain sponsorship from an Ohio broker
› Take the Ohio Real Estate Sales Person’s Examination
In order to obtain a license to sell real estate in the state of Kentucky, the following requirements must be met:
› Be 18 years of age
› Have a high school diploma or GED equivalency
› Complete six semester credit hours in real estate courses from an accredited college or university
OR
› Complete 96 classroom hours in real estate courses from a Kentucky Approved Proprietary School
› Pass a Criminal Background Check
› Take the Kentucky Real Estate Sales Person’s Examination
In order to obtain a license to sell real estate in the state of Indiana, the following requirements must be met:
› Be 18 years of age
› Complete eight semester credit hours in real estate on principles, practices and law from an accredited college or university
OR
› Successfully complete an approved salespersons course
› Take the Indiana Real Estate Sales Person’s Examination
